Events and tickets

Each ticket includes admission to the full event’s sessions for which the ticket is valid, plus any during-event meals or snacks that may be advertised with the event. You are responsible for making and paying for your own travel and dining arrangements, including hotel reservations and transportation to and from the event, if necessary.

A limited amount of tickets are made available for each event that FLOCK plans and hosts. Tickets may be offered in one or more categories (such as “Early bird”), and may be priced differently for each category, and even for each event. Some events may offer a small quantity of tickets in the Early bird category at a lower price. Early bird tickets will only be available for a limited amount of time, or until they sell out.

Once a category of tickets is sold out for an event, that category of tickets will no longer be available for purchase. FLOCK does NOT maintain waiting lists once event tickets have sold out. In some cases, FLOCK may work with a venue to increase capacity, and additional ticket inventory may become available again after event tickets were previously marked as sold out. FLOCK may not always announce when additional inventory has opened up.

Tickets may be purchased directly on FLOCK’s site from any single event page by clicking the Register button (which anchors down to the ticket selector) or scrolling down any event page, and choosing the quantity of tickets desired, then adding those ticket(s) to the cart. You may check out and pay for your ticket(s) at that point. Other relevant products or offerings may be available for purchase and suggested on the site other than event tickets.

Tickets will remain in the cart for approximately 15 minutes after being added, or if you’re not logged in, until your session ends. Tickets for any event are not guaranteed until you complete checkout. Even if you have added one or more tickets to your cart, the event may still sell out before you complete the checkout process. You are encouraged to complete the checkout process in a timely manner for the best chance of securing the tickets you want. If you do not complete the checkout process within a 15 minute period of adding tickets to the cart, those tickets may be removed from the cart, and freed up for other people to purchase.

Ticket sales typically close one week prior to each event, or whenever the event sells out (whichever happens sooner).

Additional activities

Some events may also include an activity (or a set of activities) which will occur the day before (or sometimes, the evening of, or even the day after) the main event. These “pre-events” or “post-events” are not always advertised at the time tickets are made available for the main event. However, FLOCK will do its best to inform registered attendees when any additional activity is planned in conjunction with an event for which the attendee is registered. FLOCK’s goal is to provide attendees with as much notice as possible, so there’s time to adjust or change existing travel plans.

FLOCK staff members select activities which they think will be of interest or enjoyment for event attendees. Activities are planned to allow attendees more time to network and get to know each other better, and possibly mingle and speak with event speakers and sponsors as well. These additional activities may include participation or coordination with sponsors or partners, who may offer services, products, or spaces as part of the activity. Activities may also offer insight into local arts, culture, or entertainment options near the event venue.

All additional activities are always optional, and are not guaranteed for any event. Some activities may be free for attendees to participate. Some may involve an additional cost to attendees (like paying for admission to the location of an activity that has not officially agreed to sponsor the activity).

Only ticketed attendees for the main event will be allowed to participate in the additional activity.

Event schedules

However hard we try to confirm our speakers, sponsors, and the event schedule, life happens. And circumstances are sometimes beyond our control. Thus, note that all speakers, sponsors, venues, rooms, and the particulars of each event are subject to change without notice. We will do our best to notify you of any substantial changes as soon as we can.

Tickets and email confirmations

You will receive an email order confirmation of your purchase, as well as a separate email containing any event tickets purchased. Save the ticket email. Purchased tickets are also viewable and printable from the purchaser’s Account page. Attendees will need to bring 1) a ticket with its QR code clearly visible (either printed, or on a phone) or 2) a photo ID, to check in and be admitted for each event.

If someone does not have a ticket code with them at check-in, they must provide their photo ID, and the name on the ID must reasonably match the name of a registered attendee in our database. If they do not have a ticket, and they do not have a photo ID, or their photo ID can not be matched to a name of a registered attendee, FLOCK reserves the right to refuse admission to the event for that individual.

Payment options

Tickets may be purchased exclusively online via major credit or debit cards from Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, Discover, JCB, and Diners Club. You must supply your correct billing information for the charge to correctly process.

No refunds or transfers

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Unfortunately, given the small size of our events, we can’t offer refunds once tickets have been purchased. Tickets may not be transferred to another individual or another event, and will be valid only for the named attendee and event as specified at the time of purchase.

Privacy policy

The information collected about you is stored in a secure database on our server. We also use MailChimp to collect names and email addresses for the purposes of keeping in touch with you about our future plans, or about an event to which you have purchased a ticket. We may from time to time share aggregate data with our sponsors. But in all such cases, this data will be made fully anonymous.

We may photograph or videotape speakers and attendees for use in live-streaming, or online and printed promotions. By attending any of our events, you grant us the right to take such photos or videos which may include you, and to use your likeness in such materials.

See our full Privacy policy for more details.
