FLOCK cofounders Cam and Emelia have attended many conferences. They love traveling to different cities, catching up with friends, and learning during scheduled sessions. But they weren’t getting what they needed in a big conference setting. A 45-minute conference session on a specific topic barely scratched the surface. They always left wanting more…
So they identified an unfulfilled need in the professional learning space for smaller, more intimate events that dove deeper into a single subject. Cam and Emelia wanted a forum where attendees gain a solid understanding of topics they’re eager to learn about. A full day of focused learning, with hands-on applications that enhance knowledge, skills, confidence, and online presence.
Cam spent early adult life flying the friendly skies as a flight attendant, and working as a Technical Sourcer for Google. She’s now building her own brand at BigCrazyLife, and has been awarded top blog awards in past years. She wrote a book, titled 101 Disneyland Tips, as a way to share her Disneyland knowledge and passion with others. Cam has a background in Social and Behavioral Science, and applies her marketing, leadership, public relations, and organizational skills in her current role at FLOCK.
Emelia worked in the mortgage industry before venturing into event planning. She worked extensively with Silicon Valley companies to plan offsite events, creating fun and unique experiences. After the birth of her daughter, Emelia started HalfCrazyMama to share her love running, traveling, and the trials of motherhood. She’s worked with Mizuno, Los Angeles Marathon, Dole, Disney, Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series, and Hilton resorts. She has appeared in The Wall Street Journal.
